Spiral Wound Gaskets

Spiral wound gaskets are now commonly used for pressure and temperature in chemical and process industries. The most common sealing element is graphite with a stainless steel winding. At AG, standard table gaskets are usually supplied with a plated mild steel outer guide ring which also acts as a compression gauge.

Other combinations available from AG include: stainless steel inner ring with mild steel outer ring, stainless steel inner and outer rings, no guide rings, PTFE fillers with monel windings. Heat Exchanger gaskets can even be supplied with Jacketed Metal Bars welded to the inside diameter of the spiral ring.
