These products are an adjunct to the standard VPI insulating tapes. Mostly used for the filling of voids in armatures and motors that require Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI). AG stocks Poromat by Isovolta, Polyester Felt, Nomex Felt, Nymat and NoWool. Poromat by Isovolta is a unique porous and swellable sheet that can be cut to shape and either pushed into gaps or taped into place prior to the VPI process. With the addition of heat the laminate expands and absorbs the VPI resin resulting in a homogeneous insulation.
